Gujarat is leading the charge in secure digital policing with Pathik, a UIDAI-integrated system rolled out by Ahmedabad City Crime Branch. As the nation’s pioneer in Aadhaar-enabled verification for hotels, it’s making check-ins faster, safer, and entirely contactless.
Deputy CM Harsh Sanghvi spotlighted the launch on X, praising it as exemplary people-first policing. Part of the broader OVSE 2026 vision, Pathik equips hotels with QR code generation. A quick mobile scan links to Aadhaar, authenticating guests in moments—no documents required.
The consent-driven framework safeguards privacy, sharing nothing without permission. It effectively neutralizes threats from fake identities or identity theft, backed by live facial matching to detect imposters.
Beyond immediate use, Pathik scales to verify renters, hotel employees, and support community vigilance. Sanghvi highlighted its role in building traveler trust and elevating Gujarat’s status as a secure, tech-forward tourism hub.
This fusion of governance and innovation underscores a powerful truth: technology can enhance safety without sacrificing convenience. Pathik empowers citizens, deters crime, and redefines hospitality standards across the state.
