Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic set a positive tone at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, felicitating India for orchestrating what he deemed an outstanding forum on artificial intelligence. He applauded the country’s sweeping investments in AI bedrock—data centers, computing infrastructure, and beyond—noting Serbia’s parallel pursuits despite its scale.
‘Congratulations to India for this incredibly successful event on the vital subject of AI,’ Vucic began. ‘It’s now dominating conversations in media and online platforms—a true triumph.’ The summit, he added, excels as a hub for shared learning and strengthened partnerships, crucial for safeguarding AI’s ethical evolution and resolving international dilemmas. Vucic hailed PM Narendra Modi’s speech as a beacon of inspiration.
Preceding his comments, Modi and Vucic convened for bilateral discussions, as shared by MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal online. They evaluated existing ties and strategized enhancements.
Agenda items spanned trade, investments, AI innovations, fintech advancements, educational exchanges, agricultural synergies, tourism promotion, and cultural connectivity. Broader talks touched on geopolitical matters, while both underscored the deep-rooted India-Serbia friendship anchored in public affinity.
Over five dynamic days, the summit united delegates from 110+ countries and 30 organizations, featuring 20 heads of state and 45 ministers. It propels AI development in line with India’s ‘Sarva Jan Hitaya, Sarva Jan Sukhaya’ and the universal ‘AI for Humanity’ mantra, cementing India-Serbia’s strategic-economic nexus.
