He expressed appreciation for the UK government’s condemnation of the terrorist act in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and its support for India’s efforts to counter terrorism. Jaishankar stated India would never equate those who commit acts of terror with their victims. He also noted the recent India-UK FTA and Double Contribution Convention as a milestone, which will drive trade and investment and bolster strategic alliances, including supply and value chains.
