India to produce Covid-19 vaccines to 6 key accomplice nations from tomorrow

Countries together with Bhutan, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and Seychelles would be the first recipient international locations to get the vaccines in a phased method protecting in view the home necessities.
India can be ready for required regulatory clearances from Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Mauritius.
In an announcement, the MEA mentioned India has obtained a number of requests for the provision of Indian-manufactured vaccines from neighbouring and key accomplice international locations.
“This will be calibrated against domestic requirements and international demand and obligations, including under GAVI’s Covax facility to developing countries,” the ministry mentioned.
The announcement comes hours after it was reported that the Maldives will change into the primary nation to obtain the Covid-19 vaccine (Covishield) from India. The consignment is about to land at 2 pm at Velana International Airport, Malé by way of an Air India flight.
