Indian who was shot in Kyiv throughout Ukraine-Russia struggle returning to India on Monday: VK Singh

NEW DELHI: Indian scholar Harjot Singh, who was shot in Kyiv a couple of days again throughout the Ukraine-Russia struggle, is returning to Delhi on Monday, Minister of State for Civil Aviation V Ok Singh stated.
On March 1, medical scholar Naveen SG from Karnataka was killed in shelling in Ukrainian metropolis of Kharkiv when he ventured out to purchase meals for himself and fellow college students.
The minister knowledgeable on Twitter on Sunday: “Harjot Singh is the Indian who was shot during the war in Kyiv. His passport was also lost in the chaos.”

He stated Harjot Singh is reaching India with him on Monday.
“Hope there is a speedy recovery with home food and care,” the minister said.
Singh – who’s in Poland at present to facilitate college students’ evacuation – had on March 4 informed reporters, “Today, we heard reports that a student leaving Kyiv was shot. He was taken back to Kyiv. This will happen in a fighting.”
The Ukrainian airspace has been shut since February 24 because of the Russian navy offensive towards it.
Indian residents caught in Ukraine have been being airlifted as soon as they cross to neighbouring international locations corresponding to Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland.
Eight flights with greater than 1,500 Indians will function from Ukraine’s neighbouring international locations to India on Monday, the Ministry of Civil Aviation said.
