In response to the severe operational disruptions caused by IndiGo’s extensive flight cancellations, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has vowed to take “necessary action” and ensure accountability. The minister assured that the situation is improving and airport congestion is expected to ease significantly by the following day. A committee has been formed to conduct a detailed inquiry into the “IndiGo fiasco,” aiming to identify the causes of the widespread chaos and hold responsible parties accountable. “This thing shouldn’t be left unattended. We are taking strict action on this, so that whoever was responsible into this needs to pay for it,” Minister Naidu stated emphatically. The government’s primary focus remains on resolving the backlog of flights, supporting affected passengers, and preventing recurrence of such major disruptions across the aviation network. The scale of cancellations has been substantial, impacting thousands of travelers and highlighting critical issues in airline scheduling and operational management.
