Following his resignation from the position of Vice President on July 22nd, Jagdeep Dhankhar will reside at a farmhouse in Chhatarpur. He applied for his pension on August 30th. He will be relocating to the 15 Gadaipur Farm House in Chhatarpur next week. He has requested a government bungalow from the Ministry of Urban Development. He will stay at the Chhatarpur farmhouse until a government bungalow is allocated. The Directorate of Estates, under the Ministry of Urban Development, has prepared a Type 8 bungalow on 34 APJ Abdul Kalam Marg for him. The CPWD estimates that the bungalow’s renovation and furnishing will take approximately three months. Former Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Prime Ministers are entitled to a Type-8 bungalow in Delhi. They can also choose to receive two acres of land at their ancestral place. Dhankhar’s resignation was due to health concerns. The election for a new Vice President is scheduled for September 9th.
