Jaishankar calls on Maldivian Prez Solih; reiterates India’s dedication as key growth companion
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday known as on Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and reaffirmed India’s fullest dedication as a complete growth companion of the island nation in the course of the COVID-19 pandemic and past.

Addressing a joint press convention on Saturday alongside along with his Maldivian counterpart Abdulla Shahid, Jaishankar mentioned, “The ‘India First’ foreign policy of President Solih is reciprocated in full measure by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy in which Maldives enjoys a central position.”
He added that the primary and largest recipient of India’s COVID help, be it medicines, meals, medical response groups or monetary package deal, was the Maldives.
