The crime targeted Ashok Envelope Store and the proprietor’s home in Pasangipur on February 22, 2026. Returning from a rental stay, owners found devastation: demolished walls on stairs, busted locks on all floors, and a massive haul of gold, diamond-studded jewelry, silver goods, and currency stolen since their 9:30 PM departure the previous evening.
Janakpuri SHO Kuldeep Kumar Tiwari spearheaded the response, deploying SI Manoj Kumar, SI Ashish, and a team of head constables and constables. Human intelligence coupled with surveillance tech culminated in detaining CCL ‘X’ and ‘Y’ on February 24, followed by the capture of prime suspect Divyansh Sharma, known as Babboo.
From hideouts indicated by the accused, officers seized approximately 650 grams gold, 3 kilograms silver, Rs 7,00,119 cash, miscellaneous valuables, and the crime motorcycle. Collectively valued at Rs 1.15 crore, these items restore victim losses substantially.
