The Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror outfit has introduced ‘Tufat al-Muminat’, an online educational program aimed at recruiting women and strengthening its newly formed female contingent, ‘Jamat ul-Muminat’. Scheduled to launch on November 8, this initiative leverages digital platforms to reach potential members, particularly women. The curriculum will be delivered by female relatives of high-ranking JeM leaders, with Masood Azhar’s sisters, Sadiya Azhar and Samaira Azhar, taking a central role in instructing recruits on themes of ‘jihad’ and religious duties. This online strategy allows JeM to circumvent traditional recruitment barriers and organize female brigades, potentially for various operational roles, including more extreme measures. The group’s operational expansion also includes soliciting donations from new recruits, a move that raises questions about international terror financing regulations.
