On Friday night, Raju returned home to find his wife and her grandmother dead, their bodies covered in blood. It is suspected that they were killed with a sharp weapon or a heavy object. His 6-month-old baby was found safe on the bed. He immediately informed local residents and the police of the Shikaripara police station area. This is not the first such incident in the Dumka district of Jharkhand. Just a few days prior, on September 1st, a disabled man, Lokesh Murmu, enraged by being rejected in a marriage proposal, had entered the home of his girlfriend, Heiramurni Hembram, and murdered her parents, Saheb Hembram and Mangli Kisku, by slitting their throats with a sharp weapon.
