Deepak Birua, the minister, stated that the Displaced Persons Commission will be formed after receiving approval from the cabinet. The necessary steps for its formation have been concluded. The minister’s statement was in response to a query raised by MLA Jayram Mahato during the monsoon session. Mahato expressed his disappointment with the state government, accusing it of failing to address the problems faced by displaced individuals, offering only promises without action. He mentioned that a commitment was made last year to establish the commission within 90 days, but this deadline has not been met. Birua reassured that the commission’s formation would be expedited once the cabinet gives its assent.
