In Dubil village, under the jurisdiction of Chhotanagra Panchayat in Saranda, a kutcha house belonging to Surajmuni Champia collapsed due to heavy rainfall. The incident occurred at approximately 4 AM on Tuesday, causing significant damage. The collapse resulted in the loss of an almirah, a box, mobile phones, crucial documents, and essential food supplies. The affected family is now without a home and is forced to live outdoors. Surajmuni Champia and her family have requested help and compensation from the district administration, Circle Officer, and panchayat representatives. According to Mukhiya Munni Devgam, the majority of poor residents in the village reside in kutcha houses, and many of these structures are now at risk because of the persistent rain in Saranda.
