Authorities in Palamu have apprehended a senior clerk in a significant anti-graft move. The Palamu divisional team of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) successfully caught Vinod Kumar, the ‘Bada Babu’ of the Chainpur Anchal office, accepting a bribe of 5,500 rupees on Thursday. The case originated from a complaint lodged by an applicant who claimed they were solicited for payment to get document copies. After confirming the validity of the complaint through an investigation, the ACB executed a sting operation, leading to Kumar’s immediate arrest at the point of receiving the bribe. This operation reinforces the government’s stance against corruption.
