Crime Doesn’t Pay: Ranchi Father Turns in Son Over Suspicious Wealth

A story of justice over family ties emerged from Ranchi where a father helped police solve a 20-lakh rupee robbery. The robbery took place in late April while the homeowner was attending to her husband in a coma. The thieves made off with 90 grams of gold, cash, and electronics. Suspecting his son’s involvement due to his sudden influx of cash and reckless spending, the father called the Dial 112 helpline. Following his confession, the suspect, Jitu Kumar Pandey, led police to his associates and the stolen property, which was being hidden and sold locally.
