The ongoing efforts to combat Naxalism in Jharkhand’s Saranda region are set to intensify, as acting Director General of Police T. Mishra announced plans for a swift and comprehensive crackdown. During her visit to Chaibasa, the DGP presided over a crucial meeting to assess the progress of anti-Naxal operations and strategize future actions. Discussions focused on the operational landscape within Saranda, including Naxalite activities, the challenges faced by security personnel, troop readiness, and inter-departmental cooperation. While acknowledging the demanding nature of these operations, the DGP lauded the effective collaboration between the police, CRPF, Cobra, and Jaguar units. She affirmed that the Naxal elements active in Saranda will be dealt with decisively, with all necessary arrangements in place. The DGP also highlighted the importance of analyzing and overcoming operational hurdles to ensure greater success and precision in future missions, emphasizing organized teamwork as a critical factor.
