Ranchi’s spiritual landscape was illuminated on Vasant Panchami as the much-anticipated Tilakotsav of revered Pahari Baba took center stage. The joint initiative of Sri Shiv Barat Ayojan Mahasamiti, Pahari Mandir, Aryapuri Shiv Panch Mandir, and Himalaya Parivar transformed the city into a river of faith, with processions echoing to the rhythm of traditional percussion.
The shobha yatra kicked off from Aryapuri Shiv Panch Mandir, traversing key locales before arriving at Pahari Mandir. Crowds of men, women, and children in resplendent traditional garb participated enthusiastically, offering baskets brimming with seasonal fruits, vibrant flowers, and delectable sweets.
Temple authorities extended a grand reception at the entrance. Adhering strictly to Sanatan dharma protocols, the tilak was applied amid chants and incense, succeeded by widespread prasad distribution that fostered a sense of shared divinity.
The gathering boasted dignitaries such as Rajesh Sahu, Badal Singh, Jay Singh Yadav, Subhashish Chatterjee, and numerous others who added prestige to the occasion. Organizers detailed their exhaustive efforts: the route was festooned with decorations, security personnel were deployed strategically, water and refreshments were accessible throughout, and prasad was ample for everyone.
Active involvement came from temple stalwarts Prem Sahu, Pujari Nandkishore Pathak, alongside Sandeep Jain, Motilal Singh, Naveen Panneja, and a legion of bhakts including Dumaruwale Baba and Taddit Roy.
As Ranchi basks in the afterglow of this magnificent event, it underscores the perennial vitality of Hindu traditions, uniting generations in worship and celebration.
