Dhanbad police have demonstrated their resolve against crime with a successful operation resulting in the injury and arrest of a wanted criminal. The encounter happened in the early hours of Tuesday near a water plant in the Tilataad jungle, falling under Tetulmari police station limits. Responding to information about suspicious individuals plotting crimes, the police confronted a group. One member, identified as Bhanu Manjhi and described as an associate of the fugitive Prince Khan, responded by firing at the police. The police force, acting with restraint and professionalism, returned fire, hitting Manjhi in the leg. He was apprehended and is undergoing treatment at Asharfi Hospital, with police ensuring his custody. The area has been secured for further investigation, and authorities have recovered a motorcycle and firearms. The SSP confirmed that Manjhi is a significant figure with a history of criminal involvement, including past firing incidents and acts of terror for Prince Khan’s syndicate. This operation signals a strong stance against criminal activities in the region.
