In a historic moment, Chand Muni Kumari, a tribal girl from a village in Jharkhand, has passed her matriculation exam, marking a first in the 76 years since India’s independence. Her success is a cause for celebration in her village near Jhumra Pahar in the Bokaro district. She achieved a second-class result in the exam. Local social workers and community leaders recognized her achievement. Chand Muni’s father is a migrant worker, and her mother is a homemaker. She hopes to become a teacher, aiming to educate and uplift the children in her community and address the educational backwardness of her village. Minister Yogendra Prasad and the Gomia BDO are planning to recognize her achievement.
