Tata Steel Works security successfully thwarted an attempt to steal a large volume of copper cable, leading to the apprehension of four youths. The company’s security team acted with promptness, detaining the individuals and handing them over to the police for further action. Legal proceedings are underway. The incident unfolded around 1 AM on Saturday when security guards on patrol noticed four men carrying heavy sacks of copper cable. The recovered haul consisted of 690 kilograms of copper cable, valued at approximately 1.97 lakh rupees. The four accused, identified as residents of Garib Nawaz Colony and Gaushnagar in the Mango region, were arrested at the scene. Company security officials elaborated that their swift action of cordoning off the location caught the four men attempting to flee with the valuable cables. The security team immediately secured the recovered material and apprehended the suspects. Responding to the situation, Bistupur police arrived at the location and took the four youths into their custody to complete the necessary legal procedures. This successful intervention underscores the effectiveness of Tata Steel’s security protocols in preventing criminal activities.
