A woman, Malti Kumari (28), died by suicide on Friday afternoon in the Kadma police station area of East Singhbhum, streaming the tragic event live on social media from her home at quarter number 16/19, Form Area. The husband was at work and the children were at school at the time. Information suggests that the woman used her scarf to hang herself from a fan. In the live video, Malti accused her husband, Sahdev Yadav, of being responsible for their arguments and the abuse she suffered daily. Her family immediately took her to TMH, but doctors confirmed her death. Malti and Sahdev Yadav married in 2013 and had two children. Her husband works as a contract employee at Tata Steel. Malti was originally from Giridih, while her in-laws live in Koderma; however, she resided in Kadma with her husband and children. The husband was detained by the Kadma police on Saturday, following the live video on social media, and is being questioned. The body was released to her family after a postmortem examination. This incident has deeply affected both the family and the local community.
