The delegation of the Indian Kho-Kho Federation (KKFI) met Chief Minister Hemant Soren today in Ranchi. On this occasion, representatives of the Commonwealth Kho-Kho Federation presented a detailed proposal in front of the Chief Minister concerning the organization of the first Commonwealth Kho-Kho Competition to be held in Ranchi from 9 to 14 March 2026. The Chief Minister considered the proposal positively and assured all possible cooperation from the state government. It is known that in 2026, Jharkhand will host a historic international sporting event. This competition will be the first international Kho-Kho event held on Jharkhand soil, with participants from 23 countries in the boys and girls categories. The delegation that met the Chief Minister included Chairman Shri Sudhanshu Mittal of the Commonwealth Kho-Kho Federation (KKFI), International Technical Secretary Shri M. S. Tyagi, and Secretary General Shri Upkar Singh Virk. State-level representatives present were MLA and Secretary General of the Jharkhand State Kho-Kho Association Shri Mathura Prasad Mahato, patron MLA Shri C. P. Singh, Chairman of the association Shri Santosh Prasad, Secretary General Shri Naveen Kumar Thakur, Vice Chairman Shri Vinay Kumar Jaiswal, Joint Secretary Shri Alok Kumar, Dr. Subhash Sahoo, Shri Rohit Kumar Singh, District Secretary of Ranchi Shri Sunil Kumar Yadav, Joint Secretary Shri Ravi Munda, Shri Monu Shukla, Shri Amit Kumar Yadav, and Shri Tapan Raout.
