In a solemn visit, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with his wife, MLA Kalpana Soren, paid their respects to the late Ramdas Soren at his residence in Ghodabandha, Jamshedpur. They offered a garland to his photograph as a mark of tribute. After the tribute, the Chief Minister extended his condolences to the grieving family, praying for the peace of the departed soul and offering strength to the bereaved. Soren shared his deep sorrow at the passing of Ramdas Soren, which came shortly after the loss of his father, Shibu Soren. He considered it an irreparable loss, both for the state and himself, creating an irreplaceable void. He recalled how Ramdas Soren, through his struggle, created his own distinct identity and played a crucial role in the movement for a separate Jharkhand under Shibu Soren’s leadership. His simplicity and approachable nature, coupled with his strong social commitment, were also praised. He was always there to address the common people’s difficulties. His work will continue to inspire. The Chief Minister also highlighted Ramdas Soren’s work as the former Minister of School Education, where he focused on improving education quality in government schools and strengthening the basic infrastructure, with special attention on the overall development of children in rural areas. Ramdas Soren, the former Education Minister of Jharkhand, died on August 15th at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi.
