Jharkhand Security Forces Clash with Maoists in Saranda

Security forces in Jharkhand faced a significant challenge on Wednesday during an encounter with Maoists in the Saranda forest. The operation, aimed at neutralizing the squad of Naxal leader Misir Besra, led to a heavy exchange of fire in West Singhbhum. Five personnel were injured in the conflict, which involved both firearms and hidden explosives. The injured include Inspector Satya Prakash and four other jawans, who were hit during the ambush near the Chotanagra police station area. The wounded soldiers were evacuated using a combination of ground transport and aerial support to reach a hospital in Ranchi. Additional companies have been moved into the area to prevent the retreating Maoist squad from escaping.
