At the recent appointment letter distribution and merit recognition event held at the secretariat सभागार, Jharkhand’s Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, distributed appointment letters to newly appointed teachers, assistant professors, and lab assistants. He also honored high-achieving students from JAC, CBSE, ICSE, and CM School of Excellence, along with successful students from the Akanksha Coaching program. The Chief Minister declared his government’s dedication to establishing a distinctive identity for Jharkhand in education. He highlighted the positive effects of several initiatives and the government’s commitment to enhancing the education system. The aim is to raise the standard of education to new levels. The Chief Minister underscored the importance of every individual’s contribution to the state’s growth. He discussed the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the education system, detailing current and upcoming projects intended to equip schools and offer students better, more modern education. A significant announcement was the transition of Netarhat Residential School into a co-educational institution, enabling the enrollment of girls. Plans for three additional schools, following the model of Netarhat, which is now affiliated with CBSE and offers education in English, were also revealed. The objective is to ensure that students in government schools receive an education that is comparable to that of private schools. The Chief Minister described the increasingly competitive educational landscape and mentioned past challenges faced by government schools. He noted that the government is actively working to improve government schools, including the establishment of the Chief Minister’s Excellence Schools. He mentioned the high demand for admissions, demonstrating the effectiveness of the government schools. The government is encouraging students through various means. Top-performing students from all boards will be awarded honorariums along with laptops and mobile phones, to promote their continued education. The Chief Minister announced that the honorariums for board toppers would be distributed immediately after the results were announced to prevent any financial difficulties in their enrollment for further studies. He also presented appointment letters to selected newly appointed staff. Top students from JAC, CBSE, and ICSE received financial awards, laptops, and smartphones, with JAC board toppers also receiving scooters. Toppers from CM School of Excellence were also recognized. Schools with perfect results in the 10th board exams were honored, and successful students from the Akanksha Coaching program were recognized, along with schools that were successful under the School Accreditation Scheme.
