Adventure seekers, prepare yourselves! Jharkhand is pioneering mining tourism in India, starting on August 5th. The joint effort of the state government and CCL will enable visitors to explore the heart of the state’s mineral wealth. Starting with the Urimari mines, this innovative project promises an immersive experience. Packages include guided tours, food, and site visits, including the Rajrappa temple and Patratu Valley. The state government aims to transform mining into an exciting tourism prospect and bring the state’s heritage to a wider audience. The packages are priced at ₹2800 (plus GST) for the Rajrappa temple and mining sites and ₹2500 (plus GST) for the Patratu Valley and mining site tour. Safety measures and expert guidance will be provided. The initiative plans to conduct tours twice weekly, accommodating 10 to 20 tourists per group, promoting both tourism and awareness of Jharkhand’s mineral richness.
