The Sankat Tarini Puja was observed in various places in Kharsawan on Tuesday. Major events took place at the Gundicha temple, the Mausibari temple in Haribhanja, and elsewhere. The puja and fast were particularly undertaken by women. They offered 13 varieties of flowers, fruits, and prasad to Maa Tarini. A thread, 13 hands long, was specially prepared and used during the puja, which women wore on their wrists afterward. Donations were made as part of the ceremony. The prasad was distributed to the devotees after the puja concluded. The puja is believed to invoke Maa Tarini, who embodies power and eliminates troubles. As a result, women observe the Tarini Vrat on the first Tuesday after the Rath Yatra. Aside from the Gundicha temples, the puja of Maa Sankat Tarini was also performed at various Tarini Peeths. Several worshippers also set up Kalash at their residences and performed the puja.
