In a significant operation, West Bengal Police arrested Siraj Mandal in the Domkal area of Murshidabad district. The arrest followed a raid conducted at his home in Ghodamara Nichintapur village, based on prior intelligence. During the search, law enforcement discovered a significant number of illegal weapons and counterfeit notes. The seized items included four country-made pistols, a rifle, 312 live cartridges, 12 empty cartridges, and counterfeit currency worth Rs 40,000. Police had been actively investigating Siraj Mandal. The police are questioning the suspect to determine if there were accomplices involved. The accused has been presented before the court and is now in police custody for 14 days pending further investigation.
