Fifteen people sustained burn injuries during a Muharram procession in Hazaribagh as a fire stunt went awry. The incident took place on Sunday night in the village of Turaun-Pota. According to police, the injuries occurred during a fire performance. The fire was caused by a diesel container. The injured were immediately taken to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College & Hospital (SBMCCH). The hospital reported that 15 people were admitted, with 10 being discharged on Monday morning based on family requests. Four individuals remain in the hospital, and one critically injured person was referred to RIMS, Ranchi. A local resident explained that the accident occurred when the diesel container, from which fuel was being dispensed, caught fire.
