Authorities in Palamu have successfully intercepted a substantial quantity of illicit country liquor, amounting to around 2,000 bottles. The raid, conducted near Kajrat Nawadih railway station in the Hussainabad police station area, targeted hidden caches of ‘Tanaka’ and ‘Chabili’ brand liquor. Acting on a tip-off received late Monday evening, a joint team of police and RPF personnel swiftly executed a search operation. The liquor was discovered concealed within dense vegetation, packed in 23 sacks. Each sack contained four cases, leading to a total seizure of 92 cases, approximately equaling 2,000 bottles. A motorcycle linked to the illegal operation was also confiscated. The individual identified as the liquor’s owner, Rajan Kumar Singh of Kajrat Nawadih, was arrested. He has been formally charged and is now in judicial custody. This successful interdiction demonstrates the Palamu police’s unwavering commitment to eradicating illegal trade and ensuring community safety through strategic law enforcement actions.
