Parsabad recently hosted the 14th Kirtan Samaroh by the Shri Shyam Seva Mandal, an event marked by deep reverence and fervent celebration. Roshan Chawla and his wife Anu Chawla initiated the proceedings with sacred rituals. The program was a resounding success, attracting thousands of devotees from Jhumri Tilaiya and Parsabad, who contributed to a profoundly spiritual atmosphere. The event also saw the esteemed presence of Janaki Prasad Yadav, former MLA of Barkatha.
Singers from both the local region and beyond offered their voices in devotion to Baba Shyam. A subsequent meeting of the Mandal focused on future plans. The organization proudly announced that this year’s annual festival will be celebrated on an unprecedented scale. Mandal President Joshi Kumar stated that the next kirtan is scheduled for December 28th, leading up to the main annual festival on January 19th and 20th. The eagerly anticipated presence of famous bhajan singer Kanhaiya Mittal on January 20th is generating considerable excitement among the faithful.
The main festival events are slated for January 20th at the Block Maidan. A prelude to the festival on January 19th will be a grand procession starting from Addi Bangla. This procession will pass through Station Road, Jhanda Chowk, Purnima Talkies, Maharana Pratap Chowk, and Service Road before concluding at the Block Maidan. The Shyam Seva Mandal appeals to all devotees to join in large numbers to support and enhance the magnificence of the festival.
