As Phalgun Shukla Ekadashi approaches, Ranchi transforms into a hub of piety with the upcoming Phalgun Utsav. Hosted by Shri Shyam Sangh at Upper Bazaar’s Sri Radha Vallabh Temple, the February 27 event is set to draw massive crowds for its hallmark feature: a shobhayatra bearing 501 sacred nishans.
President Kamlesh Sanchati revealed that the procession launches at 7 AM sharp from the temple grounds. Traversing lively urban paths, it will reach Shri Shyam Temple on Agrasen Path for the poignant nishan poojan and arpan rituals. This symbolic act underscores devotees’ unwavering faith in Baba Shyam.
Behind the scenes, a robust team drives the preparations. Convener Vinayak Poddar and co-convener Ashish Agarwal oversee operations, backed by Anil Lohia, Harendra Agarwal, Sanjay Sureka, Saurabh Kataruka, Rupesh Lohia, Saurabh Bathwal, and fellow Sangh members. Expect immersive bhajan renditions and pooja ceremonies that will envelop attendees in bhakti.
Phalgun Utsav has long been a cornerstone of Ranchi’s cultural calendar, blending devotion with festivity. Organizers emphasize widespread involvement to amplify the event’s magnificence. With every detail polished, this year’s celebration vows to leave an indelible mark on all who partake.
