Police Detain Two After Brutal Mutilation Murder in Ranchi
1 min readRanchi’s Tatisilwai police are investigating a horrific murder case following the recovery of a mutilated body on the Mankidiha Ring Road. The deceased, Kamlesh Kumar, was found with his body crushed and his private parts severed, a detail that has added a grim layer to the investigation. Kamlesh, a native of Bihar, was employed at an ice cream manufacturing unit in the city. The police were notified by passersby who spotted the body dumped near the road, showing signs of severe physical trauma.
Upon reaching the site, senior police officials noted that the crime appeared to be premeditated. The use of stones as a weapon and the specific mutilation of the body point toward a motive involving revenge or an extra-marital affair. Forensic teams have spent hours at the location, documenting evidence and collecting blood samples. Two suspects are already in police custody, and their statements are being verified against the evidence found at the scene.
This case mirrors a similar incident that occurred in February in the Sonahatu area, where a young man was killed and mutilated by his lover and her husband. The recurring nature of such violent crimes has put the local police on high alert. For now, the authorities have sent Kamlesh’s body to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) for an autopsy, and a formal FIR has been lodged by the victim’s family members.
