Jharkhand is commemorating its 25th Foundation Day today, with a series of cultural events taking place statewide. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and Babulal Marandi, leader of the opposition, have conveyed their greetings on this special day. Governor Gangwar shared on X, ‘Jharkhand celebrates 25 years of its establishment, a symbol of our commendable progress across various domains. I wish for the happiness and continuous development of the state and its people.’ Chief Minister Soren addressed the significance of the day, stating, ‘This 25th anniversary of Jharkhand’s formation is a moment to remember the sacrifices and struggles of our ancestors. Inspired by the bravery of Birsa Munda and the Santhal Hool heroes, Jharkhand is forging ahead in development, culture, and identity. Our government remains dedicated to respecting every mother, ensuring education for children, creating employment for youth, and protecting families.’ Babulal Marandi lauded Jharkhand for its exquisite natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and abundant mineral resources, noting its remarkable diversity. He remarked, ‘The courage and sacrifices of our tribal heroes continue to inspire the younger generation. My prayers are for Jharkhand’s journey of development to reach new heights and for the well-being and prosperity of every citizen.’
