A Ranchi court has sentenced three individuals to life imprisonment in the case of land dealer Kamal Bhushan’s murder, which took place on May 30, 2022. The incident happened on Devi Mandap Road, within the jurisdiction of the Sukhdev Nagar police station. The convicts are W. Kujur, who was previously in business with Kamal Bhushan, his son Rahul Kujur, and Kavis Adnan. The court, presided over by Additional Judicial Commissioner Anand Prakash, has also levied a fine of ₹15,000 on each of the convicted individuals. Failure to remit the fine will result in an additional six-month prison term. Two other individuals, Sushila Kujur and a government witness, Munwar Afaq, were exonerated because of insufficient evidence. The events leading up to the murder were fueled by the love marriage between Kamal Bhushan’s daughter, Yamini, and Rahul Kujur. Before the murder, there was an attempt on the lives of Yamini and Rahul. It has been determined that W. Kujur and his son, Rahul Kujur, sought the services of a shooter, Kavis Adnan, to carry out the murder of Kamal Bhushan.
