Chatra’s Pathalgada block witnessed an electrifying motorcycle rally organized to endorse the University Grants Commission (UGC) policies, reflecting deep community commitment to educational equity. The rally kicked off at the block office, snaking through rural hamlets and peaking at Gandhi Chowk with a rousing assembly.
At the helm were UGC Support Front president Chandramani Yadav, Ashish Dangi, and Tirthnath Dangi, whose leadership galvanized dozens of riders into a unified front. The event symbolized resistance to inequality in academia.
Covering a wide swath—from Gandhi Chowk to Subhash Chowk, Barwadih, Dumbi, Belhar, Chautha, Navadih, Bajobar, Ichak, Qubba, Angara, Banwara, Pathalgada, Singhani, Lemboiya, Tetaria, and Non—the rally spread its pro-UGC message far and wide, engaging villagers en route.
The highlight was the open forum at Gandhi Chowk, where CPI leader Arjun Kumar, former head Rajendra Prasad, Vasudev Dangi, Krishna Dangi, Sukhsagar Rana, Baiju Yadav, and fellow activists spoke. They positioned the UGC law as a cornerstone for India’s future, designed to end discriminatory practices and uplift Dalits, minorities, tribals, EWS, and OBCs. Demands echoed for the central government to back it unequivocally.
