J&Ok shuts colleges as instances spike

THE JAMMU and Kashmir administration on Sunday determined to close colleges within the Union Territory following a surge in Covid-19 infections. However, the choice has drawn flak because the administration has organised the Tulip Festival in Srinagar, permitting uncontrolled crowds inside the town’s Tulip Garden.
Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday introduced that the administration has determined to close colleges in wake of the spike in Covid-19 instances in J&Ok.
Sinha additionally stated that “all gathering for social and customary functions will be restricted to 200 only”. However, the examinations for Classes X and XII will probably be held as per schedule. J&Ok on Sunday recorded 573 contemporary Covid-19 instances.
