Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan reiterates promise to supply vaccines freed from value throughout age teams
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Wednesday reiterated that the state would supply Covid-19 vaccines to all individuals freed from value.
Vijayan informed reporters that individuals, throughout age teams, would get vaccine photographs freed from value. “I have already stated in the past vaccination would be free in the state. I am not in the habit of changing my opinion occasionally,” he mentioned.
Referring to the Union authorities’s new coverage on vaccine distribution, Vijayan mentioned the Centre has the duty of supplying vaccines to states. Federal governments have been requested to get vaccines from the producers at a worth, he mentioned, including that it could create monetary burden on states.

Till Wednesday midday, Kerala had administered 62,36,961 doses of vaccine, thus protecting 14. 88 per cent of its inhabitants. Of the administered photographs, 54,40,907 had been first doses.
