A 40-year-old woman in Kerala has died by suicide after being publicly humiliated. Police have arrested three activists affiliated with the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) in connection with the incident. The victim, Rasina, was reportedly distressed after being questioned about her male friend. In a separate development, the Supreme Court has directed that the investigation into the suspension of Tamil Nadu’s ADGP HM Jayaram, who is linked to an abduction case, be handled by the CBCID. The court also overturned the Madras High Court’s prior instructions regarding action against the ADGP.
