Kishtwar Gunfight: Army Paratrooper Injured in Terrorist Ambush

A paratrooper was wounded on Wednesday during a counter-insurgency operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district, where security forces clashed with terrorists. The encounter took place in the Chhatru sector after a collaborative search mission by the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police, based on confirmed intelligence about terrorist infiltration. The operation commenced shortly after sunrise. As troops approached the terrorist hideout, they came under heavy and sudden fire, escalating into a prolonged gun battle.
