Kitex staff to go to Hyderabad in a ‘special jet’ chartered by Telangana Govt to barter Rs 3,500 cr mission after firm abandons Kerala

After a fallout with the Kerala authorities, a delegation from Kitex – a garment main – is on its method to Hyderabad in a ‘special flight’ despatched by the Telangana authorities.

It is already difficult for us to run the existing garment unit in Ernakulam. Then, how can we plan new investments? We have already spent Rs 200 crore for the proposed project, which would have given employment to 30,000 people, apart from developing 600 small-scale ventures in the sector.”
Proposals from a number of states  
On June 29, the biggest private-sector employer in Kerala, Kitex Group, introduced the withdrawal of an Rs.3,500 crore funding mission from Kerala. The firm alleged that the state authorities are operating a witch-hunt towards them.
Jacob then introduced that they’ve casual invitations from over ten states, together with Gujarat and formal invitations from the state of Tamil Nadu, to shift their investments.
Fallout with Kerala authorities
