Lakhisarai buzzed with cultural fervor as Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Sinha participated in the official Kiul Mahotsav on Saturday. He lauded the festival as a dynamic guardian of cultural inheritance, local artistry, and regional character.
In his keynote address, Sinha was overwhelmed by the vivid demonstrations of Lakhisarai’s folk performances, crafts, and age-old practices. ‘Kiul Mahotsav powerfully preserves our heritage, empowers local talents, and strengthens community bonds. It invigorates our cultural scene and catalyzes tourism and local advancement,’ he proclaimed.
Sinha extended an invitation to PM Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ broadcast on January 25, stressing its role in national unity. ‘Embrace the PM’s vision, fortify your commitment to New India, and participate in this collective journey of progress.’
Highlighting the ‘Litti with Majhi’ highlight, he savored Bihar’s signature dish, calling it a bridge to the state’s flavorful traditions. ‘Through such experiences, we reaffirm Bihar’s cultural essence, culinary pride, and unyielding spirit.’
Detailing CM Nitish Kumar’s Vaishali visit amid the prosperity tour, Sinha outlined the inspections, reviews, inaugurations of 103 schemes (Rs 98 crore), foundation stones for 25 projects (Rs 54 crore), and public interactions on welfare programs. ‘Bihar’s dual governance model ensures swift, inclusive development for all.’
