Madhya Pradesh authorities reduces retirement age of contractual staff

The Madhya Pradesh authorities has introduced to scale back the retirement age of staff employed on a contract foundation. They will now retire at 62 as an alternative of 65. 

The choice will have an effect on as many as 2.50 lakh staff on employed a contract in numerous authorities departments. As many as 4,200 officers posted at district and Janpad Shiksha Kendras can even retire at 62.

These recruitments have been made beneath the Contractual Appointment Rules, 2011 which said {that a} contractual worker will retire at 65. However, the state authorities forward of the 2018 meeting elections made guidelines to nominate contractual officers and staff to common posts. It was stated that contractual staff can’t be eliminated earlier than 62 years. 

The Rajya Siksha Kendra at the moment sought strategies from the General Administration Department (GAD) on the matter. 

The GDA advised that the retirement age must be 62. However, this rule is just for officers and staff on contractual appointments. If common staff get a contractual appointment after retirement, then they are going to be capable to stay in service for 65 years.
