The Madhya Pradesh authorities has ordered the closure of all COVID care facilities within the state, besides these in Bhopal, from January 1 in view of the low occupancy of beds, as per an official order made out there on Sunday.

Defending the choice, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan mentioned the pandemic is beneath management within the state and there’s no justification to maintain the COVID care centres open “just for the sake of keeping them open”.
