Maha: Car hits devotees on method to Pandharpur; seven killed

MUMBAI: Seven pilgrims have been killed and as many injured when a rushing automotive hit them on Monday night in Maharashtra’s Solapur district, police stated.
The accident occurred round 6.45 pm close to Sangola Mirah Road, about 390km from Mumbai when a bunch of 32 pilgrims (warkaris or devotees of Lord Vitthal) was on a multi-day non secular stroll (dindi) to the temple city of Pandharpur from Jatharwadi in Kolhapur district, an official stated.
The group had began strolling from Kolhapur three days in the past and as they reached Sangola Mirah Road, a rushing sports activities utility car (SUV) rammed into them, apparently after the motive force misplaced management, he stated.
