Latur Zilla Parishad in Maharashtra has began deducting 30 per cent salaries of seven of its workers for not taking good care of their previous dad and mom, its president Rahul Bondre stated on Saturday. Notably, six of the 12 workers towards whom the complaints of neglecting their dad and mom have been obtained, are
academics, he instructed PTI.
The deducted quantity is transferred within the financial institution accounts of the dad and mom of those workers, he added.
The basic physique of the Latur Zilla Parishad had handed a proposal to chop 30 per cent salaries of all workers discovered to be not taking good care of their dad and mom in November final 12 months.
The pay minimize from the month-to-month emoluments of the erring workers started in December, 2020, Bondre stated.
“We have been probing 12 such complaints wherein parents of the employees claimed that they were neglected. Out of these 12, we began deducting salaries from accounts of seven employees since December,” he stated.
Bondre stated the 30 per cent deduction will proceed each month.
He stated the common deduction in a single such case was round Rs 15,000.
“Some cases were mutually resolved between employees and their parents after we sent notices to them,” Bondre added.
