MUMBAI: Amid a name given by MNS chief Raj Thackeray to play Hanuman Chalisa exterior mosques if ‘azaans’ are performed on loudspeakers, senior Congress chief and Maharashtra minister Balasaheb Thorat on Wednesday stated the federal government was able to coping with those that disturb social concord.
Replying to a query on Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president’s defiant stand on the problem of loudspeakers, Thorat informed reporters that no person may give an ultimatum to the federal government.
He stated the ruling MVA works to keep up regulation and order and the rule of the regulation.
“For some people, it is not loudspeakers but politics over it is important. The government is not on the back-foot. We are capable of dealing with those who want to disturb social harmony,” the Congress chief stated.
In his Aurangabad rally held on Sunday, Raj Thackeray had reiterated that if mosques use loudspeakers for ‘azaan’ (prayer name), then Hanuman Chalisa will likely be performed exterior them at a better quantity.
