Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced a series of development projects worth 241.50 crore rupees for Bhilai. Sai explained that the State Capital Region would benefit the entire area, including Raipur, Durg, Bhilai, and Rajnandgaon, fostering accelerated development and urban facility improvements. During the event, the Chief Minister also announced 20 crore rupees for a new office building for the Bhilai Municipal Corporation. He emphasized the government’s dedication to urban progress, highlighting the swift expansion of urban amenities. The CM discussed the establishment of the Good Governance and Convergence Department to promote good governance and accountability, with the administration becoming digital and transparent to benefit the populace. Sai also updated on the implementation of Atal Digital Seva Kendras in 1460 gram panchayats, with an initiative to add 5,000 more within the next half-year. By April 24, 2026, all gram panchayats in Chhattisgarh will have Atal Digital Seva Kendras, marking the occasion of Panchayati Raj Day.
