The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced a major project that includes affordable housing, leisure, and infrastructure development near the upcoming Noida International Airport. The recent board meeting approved an affordable housing scheme for the economically weaker section (EWS), offering 30,000 plots of 30 square meters each for families with an annual income under Rs 3 lakh. The project includes a golf course, gymkhana, and Delhi Haat. The initial phase will see 4,268 plots released in Sectors 17, 18, and 20. The meeting also gave the green light to a new police station, two fire stations, and various recreational facilities. These projects will be developed in the ‘recreational green zones’ outlined in the 2041 Master Plan. These developments are expected to enhance the region’s status as a business and leisure hub, particularly due to its proximity to the airport.
