He also met with the Speaker of the Parliament and former President Mohamed Nasheed, and welcomed the formation of the India-Maldives Parliamentary Friendship Group. Discussions with Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef covered key areas like technology, infrastructure, energy, and climate change. At a banquet hosted in his honor, PM Modi underscored the historical ties. President Mohamed Muizzu praised Modi’s leadership and reaffirmed the strong collaboration between the two nations. Several key agreements were exchanged, including those related to financial cooperation, fisheries, digital transformation, and the Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
